Geist Environmental Monitoring equipment monitors temperature, humidity, airflow, dew point, condensation point, light and sound in network and computer environments as well as security (door opening) and DC battery condition, all of which are reported automatically and continually. Event alarms (unusual conditions which take the monitored environment outside its defined safe state) are automatically generated by email and SNMP trap.
Geist RacSense is a product family which allows total monitoring and control of all aspects of power distribution and environmental monitoring of network racks and cabinets and enterprise infrastructure. As well as providing the same high level of current and voltage information as the Geist RM PDU series, RacSense offers constantly updated information on all aspects of the physical environment in which IT equipment is housed: temperature, humidity, airflow, dew point (condensation point), door open/closed and light and sound readings which are all presented on individual or combined graphs. Individual socket by socket power on/off control, individual outlet current monitoring and programmed power sequencing are all available with RacSense.
